1. The installation of FlashMover card reader is successful, but the card is not accessible after I plug it into the card reader.
2. After I unplug my flash memory card from card reader, Windows turns to blue screen and data in the memory card is lost.

13. I installed FlashMover card reader on my laptop computer and it is recongized, but no driver letter is assigned to it.

1. The installation of FlashMover card reader is successful, but the card is not accessible after I plug it into the card reader.
Cause
The flash memory card is not plugged into the card reader properly.
Solution
Unplug the card from the card reader, then plug the card into the reader again.
Cause :
Flash memory card file may be damaged.
Solution :
Run Scandisk in Windows to check the card and try to recover if there is any error. If any error is found, re-format the card in your Digital Camara to make sure it can function properly. If the card is still not accessible or cannot format in reader or your Digital Camara, the card may be physically damaged.
2. After I unplug my flash memory card from card reader, Windows turns to blue screen and data in the memory card is lost.
Cause :
Flash memory card is unplugged while it is busy.
Solution :
Windows system uses write cache, please be sure the LED is not flashing when you unplug it.
3. I cannot install FlashMover card reader in Windows NT.
Cause :
Windows NT does not support USB.
Solution :

4. I cannot install FlashMover Card reader in Windows 95.
Cause :
Windows 95 does not support USB.
Solution :
Windows 95 does not support USB and Windows 95 OEM is not supported by FlashMover card reader.
5. I cannot install FlashMover card reader in Windows.
Cause :
Driver conflict.
Solution :
This may be caused by driver conflicts with other device drivers you installed in the PC before. You need to go to "Device Manager", then manually delete each and every instance of USB from your list. You will see something like USB Root Hub, USBIntel...(chipset), etc. Delete Root Hub first, then the rest. This will erase all USB drivers previously installed in the system. Reboot your computer and Windows will automatically find all your USB ports again. Once this is done, install the driver from our website. Once the card reader is installed, you will be able to plug the card reader into your PC and it should work fine.

USB is disable in BIOS.
Solution :
Reboot your PC, go to BIOS and enable USB.
Cause :
The drive is hidden.
Solution :
You may need to turn on "Auto Arrange" in "My Computer" - Your icon is probably under one of the other icons or at the bottom of your page. Or, you may need to refresh your screen by using the F5 key or the refresh function from the "View" section of the rule bar.
7. I cannot install FlashMover SD-Direct card reader in Windows XP with the driver provided on the CD-Rom.
Cause :
The driver in the CD-ROM is outdated.
Solution :
Some FlashMover SD-Direct card readers use old firmware and need to install an updated driver an updated to make it work properly. Please download the most updated driver for Windows XP in our "Support" session.
8. I cannot install CF/SM Combo card reader in Windows 2000.
Cause :
Windows 2000 driver for CF/SM Combo card reader needs to be installed manually.
Solution :
After plugging in the reader, there should be just one driver installed and detected. You need to update the driver in "Device Manager". In "Device Manager -> USB Serial Bus Controller -> USB Mass Storage Device", click property, then click update driver, then specify the driver path in the CD Rom. After the driver is updated, the card reader should work properly.
9. I formated my flash memory card in the card reader, but now I cannot use it in my Digital Camara.
Cause :
File system error.
Solution :
By default, Windows XP will format any flash memory card of 64MB or more with FAT32 format. Digital cameras and other devices use the FAT (FAT16) format and can not operate with a FAT32 formatted card. Either format your flash memory card in your camera, or select FAT16 file system to format your flash memory card in a Windows XP PC.
10. I can use my Memory Stick in a Digital Camara and MP3 player, but cannot access it in the FlashMover MS-Direct card reader.
Cause :
Your Memory Stick is a MagicGate Memory Stick.
Solution :
MagicGate Memory Stick (the white one) is designed to allow users access to copy protected music or other copyright data. At the current stage, only Sony products can access with this type of Memory Stick. FlashMover MS-Direct card reader does not support it.
11. I cannot write files to my Memory Stick card.
Cause :
Memory Stick card is locked.
Solution :
There is a write protect lock on Memory Stick Card. You need to unlock it to make the card writable. Otherwise, you can only read data from it.
12. I cannot write files to my SD card.
Cause :
SD card is locked.
Solution :
There is a lock on the left hand side of the SD card. Push it up to unlock the write protect lock.
13. I installed FlashMover card reader on my laptop computer and it is recongized, but no driver letter is assigned to it.
Cause :
FlashMover card reader is a load 5 device and requires 800mA of power. Some laptops do not supply this full voltage directly to the USB port on the system.
Solution :
Use a self powered USB hub, one which plugs into an AC outlet and provides its own power to the devices connected to it.
