Organized by the TDC, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2006 (Autumn Edition), which is the largest of its kind in Asia, was staged from October 13th to 18th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, over 2,400 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions showcase their products at the Fair, a 17% increase from last year. First time exhibitors included companies from Australia, Brazil, Israel, Sweden and the UK.
MICRODIA showcased their newest range of their flagship products - Flash Memory Cards (FMCs) with world's highest speed and largest capacity, including the 8.0GB 160XTRAPRO SDHC Card. Specially designed brand new product packagings are also scheduled to launch at HKEF Autumn 2006.
Among the Flash Memory Cards presented in their booth were Bluetooth devices such as the World's longest talk time AiroBlue G5Pro Headset and Skype Ready USB Bluetooth Dongle; Multimedia devices such as the ultra lightweight Video iRock Mini and the All-in-One multimedia platform Video iRock PMP.
It has now been nine years since TDC began holding the Hong Kong Electronics Fair concurrently with electronicAsia, which this year hosted a total of over 2100 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions. Special exhibition areas are dedicated to the World of Display Technology and the Hall of Fame. As in the past, MICRODIA exhibited in the celebrated Hall of Fame, which highlights brands of high reputation, acquires added lustre through expanded participation by globally renowned companies.
"Statistic figures show Hong Kong's electronics exports surged by 14% in the first half of 2006. Exports of the big 3 categories, namely AV equipment and parts, IT equipment and parts and integrated circuits, grew by 17%, 2% and 26% respectively. MICRODIA foresees the demand of higher-end flash memory products in the fast growing digital market and provide products with fastest read/write speeds, highest capacities, highest durability cross carious application areas as well as peace of mind in international and lifetime warranty coverage. This is another perfect example of how MICRODIA maintains its leadership position in expecting the future direction of market growth well in advance." said Louis Leung, Senior Vice President of MICRODIA.
The next "MICRODIA at Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2007 (Spring Edition)" will be staged from April 14th - 17th, 2007 in Wanchai, Hong Kong.
