Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

Hong Kong, October 17, 2008 - A review of the whole event showed a subtle success that was both impressive and unexpected. Visitor traffic was focused and discussions proceeded smoothly and rapidly.

This year's exhibition again provided MICRODIA with many excellent business prospects. It was also a good opportunity to showcase our commitment to the Asia Pacific region and our investment in various countries and regions around the world.

As in previous shows, MICRODIA was located in the prestigious Hall of Fame, where top international brands display their finest standards in design, technology innovation and creativity.

Use of the 45sqm exhibition booth was maximized: successful client meetings and a successful Q&A press conference with MICRODIA's Asia Pacific spokesperson, Mr. Simon Yam. The interview focused on Mr. Yam's interest in photography, how he found MICRODIA, his experience with the MICRODIA flash memory cards and how flash memory data storage technology has affected his hobby.

Mr. Yam's photography hobby began when film was the only image recording medium for cameras. From there, he progressed to flash memory cards. Mr. Yam first used another brand, whose performance did not meet expectations. He then switched to MICRODIA's XTRA™ flash memory cards and has stayed with brand since. Mr. Yam uses top capacity XTRA™ ELITE in his Canon EOS1.

With a large number of cutting-edge suppliers all under one roof, MICRODIA showcased four product categories: the record-breaking CompactFlash card with a capacity of 64.0 GB, with data transfer rates up to 45 MBps and its SSD selection with capacities up to 128GB; the 32.0 GB SDHC flash memory cards; the HDVideo and GPS flash memory cards, including card readers; and a range of unique MICRODIA Flash Key USB flash drive designs. All capacities are expected to be in mass production by the end of 2008 and in the market in the first quarter of 2009.

Statistics show that during the first half of 2008, Hong Kong's consumer electronics exports grew 10.5% to US$87 billion. Major markets include China, the USA, Japan, Europe and Asia.

"Visitor quality was excellent, being much more targeted and focused for this year's show," said Louis Leung, Founder and CEO of MICRODIA. "We surpassed our objectives of finding new distribution partners and building our overall brand."
