The Spring Hong Kong Electronics Fair was successfully concluded on April 17. This year, the Electronics Fair was held together with the International ICT Expo and featured over 3,000 exhibitors from over 24 countries and regions. Participation was up nearly 17% from last year and included first-time participants from Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, India, Ireland, United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Japan.
As in the previous year, MICRODIA was located in the main Hall of Fame, where top international recognized brand names display the finest standard in design, technical innovation and creativity.
With a large number of cutting-edge suppliers all under one roof, MICRODIA showcased its record-breaking CompactFlash card with a capacity of 32.0GB, with data transfer rates of up to 24.0MB/sec. Additionally, MICRODIA's recently launched 4.0GB miniSDHC and 52X 16.0GB Type I CompactFlash card were also shown. MICRODIA's entire flash memory card range was exhibited with the latest packaging.
Other unique products showcased at MICRODIA's specially designed booth included a brand new business-card sized AiroBlue Mouse, the world's smallest Bluetooth Dapter USB dongle, the world's longest talk time AiroBlue G5-Pro headset, Skype Ready USB Bluetooth Dongle, an All-in-One multimedia platform Video iRock PMP, the stylish Digital Media Player Photo Frame with 8" screen, the latest iVidio MP4 Series and a FLASH-KEY USB drive with the latest fingerprint authentication technology.
Statistics show that the electronics industry accounts for nearly 50 per cent of Hong Kong's total exports. Compared to last year, electronics exports surged 14 per cent to US$156 billion. Almost all of Hong Kong's export markets showed positive growth, and some even in double digits.
"Since its launch, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair has proven to be a highly effective platform for international buyers to source new products and a catalyst to closer business ties and exchange between industry players around the world," said Brad Maurer, Sales & Marketing Director (International) at MICRODIA. "With such positive sentiment in the electronics industry, buyers from around the world will continue to source quality and reliable suppliers at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair. We look forward to seeing an even more successful show during the next edition."
The next "MICRODIA at Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2008 (Spring Edition)" will be staged from April 14-17, 2008, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
