The GITEX 2006 was successfully concluded on November 22nd 2006 with over 1347 exhibitors representing over 76 countries, a growth of 16% and 23% respectively. Occupying 13 halls and more than 62,000 square meters (33% more than last year) at the sprawling DICEC complex.
Among the Flash Memory Cards presented in our booth there were Bluetooth devices such as the World's longest talk time AiroBlue G5Pro headset and Skype Ready USB Bluetooth Dongle; Multimedia devices such as the ultra lightweight Video iRock Mini and the newly launched remote accessible Digital Frame.
In the region, the UAE and Saudi Arabia account for 77% of the Gulf's current annual IT spend of US$ 4.94 billion (18.12 billion AED). Industry estimates show that Middle East and North Africa (MENA) IT market is set to grow from US$ 6.9 billion in 2003 to US$ 13.4 billion by 2008.
