1. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the product management of the company's Portable Flash Memory Storage,
Multi-Media & Wireless Bluetooth business. He/She is to achieve the turnover and profit target of the assigned product category.
Focus areas are Market Development and New Product introduction, with the setting of annual marketing objectives and the formulation and
implementation of a Marketing Plan to attain set objectives.
2. Tasks (only focal points):
Market Development
- Define and implement growth plan for existing products.
- Drive market penetration through working closely with sales team.
- Plan and coordinate promotions.
- Optimize product mix.
New Product Introduction
- Develop and implement commercialization plans.
- Drive new product launches.
- Drive phase in/phase out process.
- Provide forecasts to supply chain.
- Monitor and control results.
Pricing Performance
- Analyze market prices.
- Define price positioning.
- Monitor and drive price performance.
Market/Competitive Analysis
- Identify market trends and customer needs.
- Benchmark competition.
- Identify gaps.
- Follow evolution of standards.
Sales support and training
- Develop Technical sales support.
- Provide and coordinate product training.
Sales literature (in conjunction with Marketing Communication Team)
- Initiate Catalogues and brochures.
- Develop sales tools.
Product and Data base Maintenance
3. Skills
A degree holder with solid 5-7 years product marketing experience.
English and Chinese (Putonghua) mandatory. Experience in portable flash memory storage,
multi-media, bluetooth or similar industries is a definite asset. Must be analytical, resourceful,
inquisitive and a solution provider. Familiarity with New Product Development processes also an advantage.
